German artist, Louis Ludwig Reinhardt, was born in 1849 in Plauen.  He studied at the Academie der Bildenden Kunste in Dresden in 1868.  Reinhardt painted in Munich during 1869-1870.  He is best known for his paintings of sheep and cattle.  Reinhardt committed suicide in 1870 in the Traunsee, Salzkammergat.

Ludwig Reinhartdt is listed in Benezit’s and there are photos of his works on Askart.com.  His paintings have brought as much as $5000 at auction.
