William C. Ehrig (1892-1969) lived in Brooklyn, New York. He studied at the Brooklyn Academy of Fine Arts. Ehrig traveled extensively in Europe, and he studied with Constantin Westchiloff. He spent his summers in Ogunquit, Maine. He taught in Ogunquit, and at his studio in Brooklyn, New York. Ehrig was a member of the American Artists Professional League, the Grand Central Art Galleries, National Arts Club and the Salmagundi Club.
