Born in 1879, Clara Maxfield Arnold was an artist known for her still lifes, Clara Arnold was also an art teacher in her home towns of Providence and East Providence, Rhode Island. She studied with her father, James Arnold, who was a commercial artist, and with her uncle, Charles Arnold, a western painter.
