Thurston John Marshall was born Worcester, Massachusetts in 1908. He studied with Eliot O’Hara, Goose Rocks, Maine; Worcester Art Museum, classes with Herbert Barnett, Umberto Romano, Sante Grazianni and others.

Exhibited at Worcester, Springfield, Fitchburg, and Berkshire Art Museums; Rockport, North Shore and Ogunquit Art Associations; Eastern States’ Expositions, Springfield, MA; Burlington Gallery, Burlington, MA; Trumbull Gallery Worcester, MA; Doll & Richards, Boston, MA.

Prizes include: 1962 Stanley N. Phillips Memorial Prize, Rockport; 1962 The Sara Boal Medal, Ogunquit Art Association.
