Born in 1934 in Ipoh, Malaysia.
  • Started his career as an artist cum art teacher in primary and secondary schools in the late 50’s and early 60’s before he traveled as a visiting artist to USA under a Fulbright Grant during the mid 60’s
  • Influenced by Abstract Expressionism, Pop Art, Hardedge, Conceptualism and other international movements during his stay in New York in the 1960’s and early 80’s
  • Has gone through the aesthetic assimilation and preservation process during his artistic journey and at the same time engaged himself in significant exploration and integration of these experiences into his own art.

    His work has been shown internationally, and is collected by major institutions around the world, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the National Art Gallery in Malaysia, and the Taipei Fine Art Museum. His work is also included in numerous private and corporate collections globally.
